Front Desk area

You’ll find audio books and DVDs inside the main entrance, near the front desk, along with our ongoing book sale. The porch-side pickup is at the side door.

First Floor, main room

The New Books shelves are the first thing you’ll see. In this area is the fiction collection, arranged alphabetically by author, with a separate set of shelves for mystery (look for the red ‘MYS’ label). There are also book in Spanish, large-print fiction, biographies, music CDs, and our regional history collection on this floor.

You can use one of the computer stations – just ask one of us to log you in. You can also use our free WiFi for your own portable device, sitting at one of the many tables. This is a good place to relax and browse the newspaper and magazine collection. You can print, scan and fax here.

The reference (arranged by the Dewey decimal system) section starts at the back of the main room and extends to the second floor (stairs/elevator at the rear).

Second Floor

There’s a large meeting room which can be booked for events, which doubles as our gallery that houses the Michael Lewis art book collection.

Much of the second floor houses the teen and young adult literature, with spaces for sitting and chilling. There’s also a bright room at the rear for the children’s collection, which includes puzzles and games as well as picture books and early reading books – we’ve worked hard on giving children a taste for the thrill of reading. There are magazine racks up here too for parents.
