Rene Marinich
Position: Trustee
Term Ends:
Rene claims that she visited Lambertville one day a year for thirty-five years and fell in love with the city’s charm and sense of small-town community. After raising her children, Rory and Sara, in suburban Long Valley, she was ready for a new beginning, and in 2015, Rene moved to Lambertville with her partner, Stephen Harris. Rene retired from a thirty-five-year career at AT&T and is now an active volunteer at Fisherman’s Mark and a volunteer tax preparer for the United Way of Hunterdon County. The library has always held a special place in Rene’s heart. She enjoys her monthly Literati book club meetings and counts one of her favorite volunteer experiences as the time she was able to spend hours alphabetizing book titles for the library “rebuild.”
It’s always hard to select favorite books, but I would include the Beartown series by Fredrik Backman, This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel, The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune, and Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver.
