I love books! I like them, too! Working in a library makes it easy to find new books, and to read old friends again as well. Some of the best book tips I’ve gotten are from some of our youngest readers, and I’ve read many a fine and entertaining book from our “E Room,” for the earliest of our readers.
I like Halloween a lot also! Living in Lambertville makes it kind of hard to hide from Halloween. I like to walk around different neighbourhoods to see all the Halloween decorations and displays. There is so much creativity here in Lambertville, and adding the enthusiasm of the citizens in makes for a lot of really enjoyable walks full of lots of Halloween scenery. I don’t think I could ever get tired of it.
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to combine two of your favourite things? Like books and Halloween? Well, it happened!!! On South Union St. there is a splendid display featuring Where the Wild Things Are! It’s wonderful! There is a huge book, and Max, and other characters from the book. It was so nice to run across it. It got me thinking about this book and other classics from my childhood. It’s actually pretty amazing that libraries keep these books available to us. I know I tend to take libraries for granted at times, but seeing this gorgeous Halloween display reminds me that books and the libraries that house them are indeed treasured. That makes me feel like one lucky librarian!
See you in the stacks!
