Albert Bauer
Position: Treasurer
Term Ends: 12/31/25
Albert visited the United States over thirty years ago from Milan and Frankfurt, quickly finding a forever home in Lambertville, drawn to its vibrant, welcoming community. He and his wife have called Lambertville home ever since, with the library’s children and community programs central to his family and their love for the area. After a twenty-five-year career as an IT enterprise architect for a top-tier global bank, Albert discovered his passion for creating artisan jewelry, launching AB D3SIGN at Lambertville’s Artisan Collaborative in 2024. As a library board trustee and treasurer, Albert blends creativity, innovation, and financial expertise to promote access to knowledge, ensure transparency, and strategically allocate resources to support the library’s mission of enriching services and fostering community engagement.
One of my all-time favorite reads is The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. This captivating novel intertwines the preservation of knowledge, the power of books, and the intrigue of a hidden library. It masterfully delves into philosophy, semiotics, and medieval history while keeping you hooked with a detective-style narrative, led by the brilliant and insightful William of Baskerville.
